The Italian American Veterans Museum is open to the public from 1 to 4 p.m. each Saturday by appointment only. To make a reservation, call 708-338-0690.
The museum is located at Casa Italia, 3800 Division St., Stone Park, IL 60165.
The Casa is two blocks south of North Avenue, two blocks east of Mannheim and two blocks north of Lake Street.
The best way to approach the Casa is to take Mannheim to Division, and then Division east.
Division is a side street that ends at Mannheim, and it’s easy to miss unless you’re paying close attention.
The building can be entered by the front glass door and by the two red doors in the back of the building.
Parking is available in front of the building, and in a parking lot at the corner of Division and 37th St.
If you park in the lot at Division and 37th, go behind the building and enter the nearest red door.
You can also park behind the building by entering the grounds on 39th Avenue, driving around the Italian Cultural Center, going to the far end of the lot and parking near the bocce courts.
Once you enter the Office Center, the museum can be found on the east side of the third floor.
You can take the staircases on the east or west sides of the building, or the elevator on the west side of the building.
The elevator is extremely slow, so if you’re able to take the stairs, please do so.
Signs throughout the building point you in the direction of the museum.
