The Friends of the 85th Division, made up mostly of alumni of the 85th Training Division, holds luncheon meetings semiannually near Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The event includes a guest speaker and of course a chance to reminisce with old friends. This year’s meeting was held in the Banquet Center at Casa Italia on Nov. 10. IAVM President and 85th Division alum Colonel (Ret.) Renato Bacci suggested the location and arranged for museum curator Steve Corbo to speak about the museum at the luncheon and give a tour afterward. All who participated were thoroughly impressed. The former Command Sergeant Major of the 85th Division donated a box of military books to the museum library.
