In fond memory of Dr. Paul Rubino

The Italian American Veterans Museum lost one of its most avid supporters with the passing of Paul Joseph Rubino, MD. Educated at St. Ignatius High School, Loyola University and Loyola’s Stritch School of Medicine, Paul as a Naval surgeon tending to often-critically wounded military personnel during the Vietnam War. Upon discharge, he joined the Family Medical Group in Joliet, where he worked as a surgeon until retiring in 2003. He and his wife, Ann, have donated generously to the veterans museum and Casa Italia and were founding supporters of the Paul and Ann Rubino Endowed Professorship in Italian American Studies at Loyola.
