Dear Friends of the Italian American Veterans Museum,
Great news! The Italian American Veterans Museum has landed at its new location in Addison, Illinois. And better yet, we have allies to help us make the transition, including you!
We are pleased to announce that we will occupy a splendid new space in a stately 100-year-old building situated across the street from the Addison Village Hall and Friendship Park. Dubbed the Chicagoland Veterans Campus, our new location will provide surroundings and visibility that are worthy of our many exhibits and events showcasing the remarkable stories of our Italian American Veterans.
We know, with your assistance, that the facility will become the center of honor, recognition and support our Veterans deserve. Please help us acknowledge their years of service and dedication through your generous donation.
Our museum will share this historic site with the Chicagoland Combined Veterans Museum & Library, the Camp Grant Museum, the Greek American Veterans Museum and the 10th Mountain Division Museum. Add to this a full-time Veterans Resource Center and Service Office and the only military library in the Chicago area, and we will be part of the most comprehensive center serving and honoring our Veterans in the Midwest!
An adjacent auditorium, banquet facilities, and ample parking and grounds will enable us to welcome groups and host events of all sizes. All we need is your donation to help us achieve our mission and open our doors.
No longer will our many military artifacts and the moving stories that go with them be crated and hidden in storage. With your donation, we will provide compelling multimedia displays and exhibits emphasizing the skills used, bravery shown and success achieved by our Italian American Veterans.
Can we count on you for your support?
Respectfully yours,
Joseph E. Troiani, Ph.D.
Commander, U.S. Navy (retired)
President, Italian American Veterans Museum
