The Italian American Veterans Museum was packed to the rafters on July 10 for a presentation of a History Channel documentary about the mistreatment of Italian citizens living in the United States during World War II. The film was introduced by Ron Onesti of Onesti Entertainment, who not only made the screening possible, but also served up mini-pizzas that he had baked earlier that day! “I am reaching out to express my gratitude to all who were instrumental in organizing such an educational, insightful, and emotional event,” wrote attendee Maddalena DiCinto Knorr. “I am in disbelief that as a first-generation Italian-American I knew nothing of this history. Thank you to all those who work so hard to not let this story be forgotten.”
