More than 500 classrooms around the world participated in United Through Reading’s “Story Time with a Service Member” event in early November. The organization selected and sent a video recording of a service member reading an entertaining and educational age-appropriate story to participating classrooms that requested to be part of the event. United Through Reading facilitates the bonding experience between distant serving military members and their loved ones and members of the community through video-recorded stories.
