What transpired at the Italian American Veterans Museum on June 9 was truly magical. Three World War II veterans, all in one place, shared stories of their lives before, during and after the war in a lively conversation led by museum curator Steve Corbo. The capacity crowd sat mesmerized as Army Sergeant Ed Malatesta, Women’s Army Corps Medic Marie Sartor Pawelek and Navy Machinist Mate Carl Liture spun their yarns, rewarding them with a resounding standing ovation.
